Announcement for the newly-formed Nations and Regions Council

We are delighted to announce the election results for the Nations and Regions Council!

This is a new committee helping to set the strategic direction for techUK’s work across the UK’s Nations and Regions, develop and grow the Local Digital Index and highlight the importance of the UK’s digital economy.

The Nations and Regions Council will engage with stakeholders in devolved government across the UK helping support techUK’s engagement, feedback and relationship with these important partners to the UK’s tech sector and ensuring the programme accurately reflects members’ and our partners priorities.

We would like to thank all the members who nominated themselves for this Council and we are looking forward to working together to shape our programme of activities.

I'm delighted to be part of the council; as devolution increases, the ability for techUK and it's members to be able to engage at a regional level and champion the role of tech sector in driving inclusive economic growth becomes ever more critical

The Local Digital Index that BT Group has been pleased to champion from the outset is a real reminder of the challenges and opportunities we face across the UK in ensuring digital innovation delivers for all of us. So I am looking forward to working with and learning from Council members in the nations and regions to help make that happen and ensure we build on the best of what our sector has to offer
