As a strategic partner of London Tech Week, techUK once again exhibited at the event, showcasing our work, and our members to the estimated 45,000 visitors.

techUK and TechSkills at London Tech Week

techUK was proud to once again be a strategic partner of London Tech Week as it returned for its 11th year.

The event was a fantastic showcase for UK tech, and we’re pleased that techUK members and colleagues had numerous appearances on the agenda across the week:

  • Dan Patefield chaired the Cyber Security track and a panel on ‘Quantum Resilience’.
  • Matt Evans moderated the ‘Mitigate Loss and Protect Your Organisation Against Data Breaches’panel discussion.
  • Andy Thornley moderated the ‘Money Talks, AI Speaks Louder: Applications of AI Across Fintech’ panel discussion.
  • Ashley Feldman chaired the ‘Transport and Mobility for the Future’ track.
  • Antony Walker chaired the ‘Paving the way for an AI-Enabled Sustainable Future for Enterprise’ session.
  • Sue Daley moderated the ‘The Power of Communication - Leading Successful Teams’ panel discussion and the ‘Predicting the Future: What to Build Next?’ fireside chat.
  • Nimmi Patel was a panellist in the ‘The Roadmap to Digital Skills for All’.
  • Tess Buckley spoke on 'Embedding ethics and trust in a tech-enabled customer strategy'.

Alex joined techUK in September 2021 as our Head of Brand and Campaigns.

Alex supports the development of the techUK marketing strategy, identifying and driving key campaigns across the techUK community that build our credibility, increase our influence, and provide thought leadership on the future impact of tech innovation across society, the economy, and the planet.

Prior to joining techUK Alex was Head of Marketing at UK Finance, the trade association for the banking and finance industry, where he led a team focused on commercial marketing strategies. Before that he was Head of Marketing at Payments UK supporting the payments industry to deliver world leading innovation.
